Artist and curator Marshall Weber put up this international touring Exhibition of multilingual artists’ books, prints, and digital video documentation on innovative projects that explore the cognitive, literar and political processes of translation.
The work in this exhibition also explore language as a visual form, pattern, and symbol. Translation is basic to our existence as human beings. It is what literally creates and defines us as a species; from the use of the word to signify the formation of amino acids by our RNA to the internal process whereby our cerebral cortex translates our thoughts into language. Using the term ‘translation’ in a generous and inclusive manner this exhibit examines our human struggle to transform human experience, perception, and thought and into acts and materials of communication. In particular this exhibit will focus on the success of this process and on what has been found rather than lost. Organized by Marshall Weber.

Photographien aus der Basilicata von Clemens-Tobias Lange auf Japanpapieren und Künstlerbücher der CTL-Presse. Sprachperformance von Domenico Brancale und päsentation der neuen Ausgabe von 'a camàsce 7, der italienischen Lyrikpublikation, die jährlich im Sommer erscheint.
Die Ausstellung mit den Photographien Langes bleibt bis zum 30 August, die Künstlerbücher nur am Tag der Eröffnung zu sehen.

Verborgene Schätze: kunst Meran zeigt „Children’ s Corner. Künstlerbücher für Kinder“

Meran, März 2007: kunst Meran (Meran, Italien) zeigt vom 29. April bis zuim 17. Juni 2007 die Ausstellung "Children's Corner. Künstlerbücher für Kinder". Die ausgestellten Arbeiten geben einen Überblick von den 20er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts bis in die Gegenwart. Um eine möglichst große Vielfalt an künstlerischen Positionen zu zeigen, wurden sowohl international bekannte Künstler ausgewählt als auch Künstler aus der Region Südtirol. Zu sehen sind Bücher und Werke von Alighiero Boetti, Sonja Delaunay, Keith Haring, Emilio Isgro, El Lissitzky, Bruno Munari, Joan Mirò, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Elisabeth Oberrauch, Luigi Veronesi, Michelangelo Pistoletto und Andy Warhol.
Zur Ausstellung erscheint ein Katalog bei Corraini Edizioni - Arte Contemporanea, Mantua.

Wolfgang Müller und Hartmut Andryczuk stellen unter diesem Titel in der Sylt-Quelle/Rantum Arbeiten zum Thema aus. U.a. präsentiert Wolfgang Müller ein Objekt und drei original historische Landkarten zur legendären Insel Friesland. Hartmut Andryczuk präsentiert u.a. ein 8 m langes Künstlerbuch als Leporello unter dem Titel "Entmilitarisiertes Wasser - Festung Sylt".

Artists’ Talks on Artists’ Books: artists’ ideas behind making, collaborating, publishing, exhibiting and education in book arts. The symposium includes a special focus on John Bently’s 23 years of publishing and performance as the Liver and Lights Scriptorium. Bently’s last five publications have contained an audio CD with music by Afterabbit as an integral part of each artist’s book. There will also be a musical book instrument’ workshop led by John Bently, for participants to produce an instrument to play for a closing performance with Bently’s band Afterabbit.

Das Museum für Druckkunst zeigt im Normalfall eher Uralte Druckmaschienen und Schriftsatz- und Druck in der Geschichte.
Etwa einmal jährlich gibt es eine größere Ausstellung mit Büchern.

2006 zur Leipiger Buchmesse beginnt die Ausstellung (un)limited. Künstlerbücher aus der "Sammlung Edith und Steffen Missmahl" . Im Rahmen einer Ausstelllung von hochrangigen Künstlerbüchern wird der Produktionsprozess eines Buches gemeinsam mit einem Künstler geplant und durchgeführt. (Thomas Kaminski).
(Katalog zu der Austellung erschien bereits 2005, wo sie bis Ende November im Museum Bochum zu sehen ist.
